About this site

We're best known for our sites that cut through all the waffle you have to endure if you want to get the lowdown on insurance – whether that's Travel Insurance, Pet Insurance, Car Insurance, or Home Insurance.

So we thought we'd take on banks next! This is the place for you're trying to make a decision about a current account or savings account and are:

  • Bemused by star ratings (have you noticed that most banks have abysmal ratings on review sites? Is it a protection racket, or what? 🤷)
  • Bored of the opinions of random strangers on review sites ("I was underwhelmed at first, but when I lost my phone, Derek couldn't do enough for me" Errrr, thanks I guess? 😐)
  • Fatigued by landfill financial services content ("Check out our simple guide to finding the best 1-year fixed rate savings bonds, easy access savings accounts, and cash ISAs. 26-minute read"🤦‍♀️)

If you recognise those experiences, then BankReviews.uk is the site you've been waiting for!

How it works

Our robot alter ego Robin Banks harnesses the power of artificial intelligence to do three things 🤖

  1. Create a simple summary of how independent experts like Which? and Fairer Finance have rated each account 💡
  2. Summarize the latest customer reviews of banks from platforms like Trustpilot, Google Reviews, and Feefo 👩‍🏫 (WARNING: it's not pretty)
  3. Put it all together into Top 10 lists of the best accounts on the market 🙌

That's it.

How BankReviews.uk makes money

We're independent of the banks and building societies we write about, and no one pays us to write any of the articles on the site. That said, if you click on a link to a company's website and go on to buy, they might pay us some commission 🙏

Our lawyers told us to write this bit

We're a journalistic site and while we do our best to provide useful tips on current accounts and savings accounts, we're not perfect – so bear in mind that if you act on information from the site it's at your own risk, and we can't accept liability if something goes wrong 🧑‍⚖️

By the same token, the site doesn't constitute financial advice. Make sure you do your own research to find accounts that work for your personal circumstances – or contact an independent financial adviser 🧑‍💼
